How do I enrol?
Simply contact us via email or by visiting us in person.
What ages do you teach?
We teach all ages, from infants to adults.
How long are lessons?
Private lessons are 15 or 30 minutes, while group and baby classes are 28 minutes.
What if my child cries or doesn't want to participate?
Our instructors are experienced in building trust and will work patiently with your child to help them feel comfortable.
What should my child bring?
Please bring swimwear, a towel, and goggles (recommended). A swim nappy is required for babies and toddlers.
Can parents watch lessons?
Yes, parents are welcome to watch from our comfortable viewing area.
Do parents get in the water?
A parent or caregiver must be in the water for baby lessons. For other classes, children swim independently.
How are swimmers assessed?
Our instructors provide continuous assessment and formal reviews at the end of every term.
My child is nervous around water. Can you help?
Absolutely. We specialize in building water confidence in a supportive, fun environment.
Do you teach children with additional needs?
Yes, we offer inclusive lessons tailored to each child's individual requirements.
Booking & Payments
How do payments work?
Invoices are issued before the start of each term and payment is made via bank transfer.
Can we join part-way through a term?
Yes, subject to availability. Fees will be adjusted to reflect the remaining lessons in the term.
What happens if we miss a lesson?
Unfortunately, missed lessons are not refundable or transferable. Your booking reserves a dedicated time slot each week, regardless of attendance. We understand that illnesses happen. We may be able to offer one make-up lesson per term for sickness, subject to availability. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee make-up lessons.
Class Information
Do lessons run during school holidays?
Our regular lessons follow the school term. We may offer holiday intensive programmes during selected school holidays.
Do you offer private lessons?
Yes, we offer both 1:1 and 2:1 private lessons for focused, personalised instruction.
How often will my child attend lessons?
Consistency is key to progress. Your child will attend at least one lesson per week to build and maintain water confidence and skills.
Safety & Facilities
What if my child is sick?
If your child is unwell, please stay home and rest. We recommend being symptom-free for at least 24 hours before returning to the pool to ensure everyone's health and safety.
What happens if The Swim Society cancels a lesson?
While rare, if we must cancel due to maintenance or unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you immediately via SMS and email, and a makeup credit will be added to your account.
Is the pool heated?
Yes, our pools are heated year-round to provide a comfortable environment. This helps our swimmers build confidence and progress at their own pace in a cozy, supportive setting.
